Vacation continued

We ended up really enjoying our short, but VERY relaxing trip to New Orleans. Here are some of the highlights. . .

The night we arrived in town we ate at Emeril's, which was only 2 blocks from our condo. I must say it was NOT a disappointment. The food was FABULOUS!

The next morning we woke up and walked down to the French Quarter & ate at Cafe Du Monde. It is a famous coffee & beignet stand in the heart of the French Quarter. This place was recommended by several friends. We devoured the French doughnuts piled high with powdered sugar.

We also visited the New Orleans Aquarium, the French open market, ate at another fun restaurant-Mulate's, and had a famous hurricane at Pat O'Briens piano bar.

On Sunday we attended church at St. Louis Cathedral. The cathedral is beautiful and the paintings on the walls and ceilings are absolutely breathtaking.

We had a really wonderful time in New Orleans and enjoyed the quiet time together, but we dearly missed our boys. We headed home Monday to pick up our little munchkins from Creighton's BRAVE & DEARLY LOVED sister and mom.

Thanks again for taking such wonderful care of our boys, Amber & Mom. We greatly appreciate it!

Great pictures! It IS definitely nice to get away for a little while together, but you sure miss those babies who drive you crazy on a daily basis :)!

Amber and Creighton's mom have earned their wings, yes?!

The condo looks awesome, btw.
