Dear Luke,
Yesterday you turned 3 years old. T H R E E years OLD!!! When I look at you I see such a bright eyed and inquisitive little boy. You've got a very strong, yet loving personality. You are very particular about everything- from eating, to the way you line up your cars, to the clothes you wear (hmm. . .I wonder where you get that from?:o). You have an opinion and do not mind voicing it. You can be sensitive and get easily embarrassed when disciplined by people other than Mommy and Daddy. You still love anything with wheels, especially cars and trucks. You have a new found interest in Veggie Tales, which I am actually thrilled about. Mommy & Daddy are ready to retire Disney's Cars (although this is still one of your favorites). You are quite the little athlete. Football is probably your favorite sport at the moment. One of the biggest changes that happened this past year was that you became a BIG BROTHER! You have taken on this role with ease and my heart swells when I see you interact with Sam. You ask quite often when Sam is going to be big enough to play cars with you. I always respond by saying, just give him a little more time. You are such a blessing to Mommy and Daddy and we are forever grateful for the gift of you!

Happy Birthday, Lukey-pooky! Sorry we'll miss your birthday on Saturday!!!! Wish we could be there, but Uncle Sean wants to go to the Aggie game for his birthday! One day you'll understand :). Hope you enjoy your present from us!
Happy Birthday Lucas John (just a little bit late).. I guess we will celebrate your birthday the next time ya'll are down this way... We know you had a great time at the birthday party Mommie and Daddy had for you with the other kids... Until we see you again..
